🌱 Interesting facts about our STA Certified Premium Compost:
• We have a 30-acre compost pad that on any given day contains approximately 30 windrows (or ricks) that are in various stages of composting.
• The windrows are mechanically turned to ensure they are aerobically composting, whereas air and water are able to reach deep into the pile. This allows the microbes to do their jobs finishing the composting process to provide us with our Premium Compost and topdressing variations.
• Approximately 15,000 cubic yards of Premium Compost is stored under cover, keeping it out of the elements.
• STA Certification by the UUS Composting Councilrequires submitting a compost sample to an accredited lab every quarter. We then receive a Compost Technical Data Sheet (CTDS) which is the compost version of a Carfax.
