Quality starts at the molecular level
Our process is critical into providing only the highest quality composts and soils. Whether we are producing one of our specialty composts, blending our signature standard Enriched Topsoil, or carefully mixing one of many custom blend specifications, our long history of performance inspires confidence. Here’s how we provide our clients with the best quality soils.
Compost
From the beginning we are very selective in choosing ingredients. We handpick all the feedstocks that go into our compost to ensure uniform quality and consistency. From the molecular level, we utilize our onsite laboratory to analyze and qualify our ingredients. At the end of our composting processes we utilize accredited lab partners to perform independent testing.
- Feedstocks include: hay, straw, horse bedding, poultry litter, corncobs, cotton seed hulls, cocoa bean shells, gypsum

Soil
Our Enriched Topsoil is a manufactured blend of A and B Horizon soils supplemented with our Premium Compost. Carefully blended using our proprietary mix ratio and tested rigorously throughout production, Enriched Topsoil conforms to the range designation of loam to sandy loam in the USDA soil triangle. Our production process ensures that every yard of soil we produce is consistent from week to week, month to month and year after year.
Our Value is Blended in
You might think you’re purchasing our products, but what we are actually selling is value.
Our process starts when the phone rings with a question or an email pings with a quote request.
We make it our business to understand the question or problem and provide the answer or solution.
Our value is blended in as we provide accurate and competitive quotes, conduct product testing, and assist with the submittal process. Once a job starts we make sure we understand the customer’s logistical needs, aligning our production and delivery schedule with the requirements of our customer’s installation timeline. Trust us when we say that all of this is no easy task, yet it is the task we thrive on and have proudly perfected over time.
Our Soil Shed Has You Covered
When mushroom compost is brought back from the mushroom farms, we adjust the carbon and nitrogen ratio and form it into long windrows for the final composting cycle.
We then carefully monitor the temperature of the compost, turning the windrows when the timing is just right. When composting is complete, the compost is transported to a large covered building so it can be cured, stored and sheltered from the elements.
When an order is placed, our production team pulls inventoried materials out from their perspective storage areas and assembles and screens each order under the roof and on a clean concrete surface.
Custom blends are typically mixed and screened within 48hrs of delivery. Our Enriched Topsoil is stored in our Soil Shed which has a 15,000 yard covered storage capacity. We work hard to turn orders around quickly, yet it is always a good practice to provide us with as much lead-time as possible when placing your orders.
The Logistics of Success
There is a lot of work that goes into a project before the deliveries even begin to roll. From estimating/bidding to submittals and then production, the success of a job can come down to something as seemingly simple as logistics and delivery.
Logistics are anything but simple and we understand that getting it right is crucial. On the jobsite, time is money. That’s why we maintain a large fleet of dedicated trucks to control most of our deliveries as well as having strong relationships with transportation brokers for longer distance locations.
Whether a project needs a large amount of product in a short amount of time or deliveries strategically timed and staggered, we work closely with our clients to make sure expectations are fulfilled.
