Camp Bonsall Covered Bridge

Built over Big Elk Creek in Elk Township and New London Township, the beloved covered bridge was destroyed in 2021 by Hurricane Ida. The current reconstruction will visually replicate the former bridge, now with steel beams hidden beneath the wood deck to carry traffic.

Because of the steep bank the bridge is on, Lobar utilized our DOT-Approved Enriched Topsoil for both landscaping and construction repairs on the worksite of the Camp Bonsall Covered Bridge.
